For this purpose one employee operates two MULTY-FLY. After the requested information is digitized it is sent via e-mail to the corresponding branch office. The average response time is about 10 minutes per inquiry. Due to fast retrieval and distribution of the requested information inquiries can be dealt with immediately and result in improved customer service. As a consequence the digital archive increases in size on a daily basis at approx. 300 customer files. One more reason for the acquisition of the Staude MULTY-FLY was its ease of operation. In particular jackets can be scanned automatically without further adjustment. A cost comparison showed the acquisition cost for one high performance microfiche scanner is the same as four Staude MULTY-FLY with the corresponding hardware. |
